CASTANET.NET COMEDY CABARET - THE TOMMY LAMA
Kelowna's must-see comedy event returns to Kelowna Actors Studio on October 4 and 5 with The Tommy Lama Comedy Experience, featuring the hilarious Tommy Savitt. Known for his critically acclaimed residencies on the Las Vegas Strip at the Tropicana and Stratosphere, this show promises an evening of unforgettable comedy.
The Tommy Lama Comedy Experience is a comedic commentary on the get-rich-quick, self-help, and life coach gurus in North America today. Tommy is the winner of the 3rd Annual Comedy Cage Match at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Lake Tahoe; the Ventura Comedy Festival; and the prestigious Boston and Seattle Comedy Festivals. He is also a two-time recipient of the LA Comedy Award for Stand-Up. “The Tommy Lama Experience” has enjoyed extended performances at Las Vegas' Tropicana and Stratosphere Hotels.
If laughter were the law, Tommy Savitt would throw the book at you. Tommy, who left law school to pursue comedy, has become a celebrated comedian known for his slow, deliberate delivery and wide-ranging material—from spiritual guidance to military stories. Born in New Jersey and raised in Brooklyn, he has been a working comedian for over 20 years, appearing on WGN’s “The Bob & Tom Show,” SI TV’s “Funny is Funny,” and JLTV’s “James and Sunda,” among others. His CD “Who Wants Me Now!” is a top hit on satellite radio, with fans recognizing him by voice alone.
With a clean and corporate-appropriate act, his loser lothario persona entertains at events, casinos, festivals, and comedy venues across the country. Tommy Savitt’s universal comedic style is sure to leave everyone in your audience laughing. Don’t miss Castanet.net Comedy Cabaret featuring The Tommy Lama, on October 4 and 5 at Kelowna Actors Studio.
